Dr. Veerma Puri is an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Goa Institute of Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Jammu. Her primary research interests lie in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, ownership structures, and financial markets. Her work has been published in reputed peer-reviewed international journals, including Journal of Environmental Management, Managerial Finance, International Journal of Disclosure and Governance, Cogent Economics and Finance, and Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies. She has presented her research at leading academic forums such as the PAN-IIM World Management Conference, the Indian Academy of Management (INDAM), and the India Finance Conference.

Dr. Puri has almost a decade of academic experience, having taught a wide spectrum of finance courses, including Financial Management, Corporate Valuation, International Finance, FinTech, and Private Equity, at institutions such as NMIMS Navi Mumbai and Symbiosis International University, Nagpur. She has also been actively engaged in institutional development through committee memberships, accreditation processes, etc. In recognition of her contributions, she has received a best paper award at the INDAM PAN-IIM Conference and is a reviewer for reputed journals such as Corporate Governance: An International Review and the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance.
