Bio
Dr. Amiya Sahu has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting in India. He teaches courses in finance viz. corporate finance, valuation, financial modelling & analytics, financial statement analysis, and technical analysis. He has developed unique pedagogical methods focusing on ‘Learning by Doing’ using projects, research and debates on contemporary issues. This method is designed to help students, at post-graduate and executive level, gain financial analysis skills to be suitable for taking up ‘financial analyst’ as a career. His areas of research are investment management, equity market, corporate governance, technical analysis. and algo trading. He has got several publications in leading journals. He has written case studies on Valuation, and Investment decisions.
He mentors ‘VINIDHAN’ the student investment fund of Goa Institute of Management. He is advisor to business ventures and start-ups in Goa. He is also a certified stock trader.
