Bio
Padhmanabhan, is currently an Associate Professor in OB & HR Area at Goa Institute of Management. He chairs the Service Learning and Rural Immersion, a Give-Goa Initiative at the institute. His teaching, research, training and consultancy interests are in the area of individual & group dynamics, Mental wellness & EI, Competency Mapping, and OD. His curiosity is in observing leadership/group processes and their impact on organizational performance. He is an organizational story gatherer. Some of the cases authored by him have been published in Asian Business Case Center, GVV – Babsons college, Ivey Case Publishing, Sage Publishing, Emerging Market Case studies – Emerald Publishing, etc., Three of the simulations that were designed by Padmanabhan and colleagues have been published in CAPSIM. The recent one (2022) has been awarded as the best simulation in GBSN (Global Business School Network) international simulation competition.
Padhmanabhan is a certified facilitator in Social, Emotional and Ethical Approaches from H.H. Dalai Lama’s Centre for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics, Emory University. He teaches mental wellness in the context of building emotional hygiene, self-awareness & resiliency, and stress & coping. He is also certified FIRO-B and DiSC.
