Bio

Nandini Tank is the founder of Adivasi Geotags and an Associate Fellow at the University of Groningen, specializing in the epistemology of Adivasi religion and political mobilization. She holds a PhD from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, funded by the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund and ICSSR. Nandini is also a freelance journalist for The Caravan and The Wire. Her research focuses on Adivasi knowledge systems for climate change, the Sarna religion, and the socio-environmental impacts of public policies. Her work combines ethnographic fieldwork and data analysis to understand the intersection of culture, land, and identity. Nandini has received several prestigious grants, including the European Conference for South Asian Studies and London School of Economics. She has been invited for several talks by All India Radio, National Law University, Bangalore, Adivasi Lives Matters, Belongg, and Insurgent Knowledges.
